HISTORIC RIVERSIDE REVAMP

This historic home in Riverside has a long story. Built between 1901 - 1918, this home was relocated from the original location in the 1980’s. The new owners were excited to reintroduce some of the original charm and historic integrity back into this property. Starting with the two-story foyer, we added a historically accurate black and white check flooring, paired with antique accessories to make a subtle, yet dramatic impression upon entry. The client’s original artwork collection influenced paint selections across the home, first with the color-drenched den in a subtle teal and then, flowing into the dining room finished in a deep gold. The kitchen was fully reconfigured for modern use, complete with custom floor-to-ceiling natural wood cabinetry. An archway from the kitchen leads into a butler’s pantry, coffee bar and powder room. Throughout the home, these careful renovations have resulted in a curated historic home that does not sacrifice modern functionality.
